{the journey}
Here's our visual depiction of the transformation:
{concept}
Inspired by black and white motif, the Monochromatic Suite was designed to have a whimsical, bold, black and white stylized look. We wanted to create each room at Twin Gables with local artists featured in each. Our friend + renown artist Paddy Cohn custom-designed a piece specifically for this room!

As usual, we updated the space with clean white walls and funky new lighting fixtures. To emphasis the painterly concept of the space, we added a black and white splatter-paint floor, and continued that theme up through the up-cycled vintage dresser. We kept the vintage sewing table and painted the top with Pure White, adding a unique clear ghost chair to create a workspace.
Our hand-illustrated walls were inspired by the Greer Cafe. As the statement piece of the room, we installed a carved mahogany bed from Bali and white washed a base coat of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.
